Bruce Walker is a Mississauga based freelance professional photographer.
Early experience with 35mm film in the nineteen-seventies and eighties piqued his interest, but high resolution digital technology rekindled his passion for capturing original images. He is actively exploring portraiture, glamour/fashion creative, still-life and abstract work.
His work appears in the
PDML Photo Annuals 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, the Mississauga Arts Council summer newsletter 2009, and fashion retail window displays for Showcase Design. Mr. Walker's work appeared in a juried exhibition of PDML artists at the Scharpenberg Gallery in Chicago, May-June, 2010. He has contributed works to many of the
ALFEW exhibits at The Grange House in Mississauga, running quarterly since June 2010. He mounted a solo exhibit: Postmodern Pinups, in Toronto's Junction community from May through July, 2012.
Most recently a piece from his Fleetwood project is hung as part of Visual Arts Mississauga’s 35th Annual Juried Show of Fine Arts exhibition running from January 17 through March 2 at the Art Gallery of Mississauga.
Mr. Walker is currently developing themed creative fashion & glamour projects and welcomes collaborators. He has an on-going project documenting the lifecycle of Fleetwood, Mississauga parkland maintained on a natural watershed.
