After borrowing my grandfather’s fully manual camera when I was a teenager, I’ve been hooked on photography ever since. I’ve always felt a need to express myself creatively and photography has been that outlet. Through the years I have worked to constantly improve my skills…both creatively and technically. One of the fun, and at times frustrating, things about photography is you’re always learning…either new technical skills or learning to see things differently.
I’ve tried many different types photography over the years, but I keep being drawn back to Black & White and Black & White Infrared. That’s my main photographic focus these days. I’ll occasionally leave something in color, but rarely, it always seems to look better in Black & White ☺
I was born & raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida (yes, an actual Florida native). My travels have taken me all over North America and into Europe, with extended time spent in the beauty of Utah and Maine. Several years ago my wife and I quit our corporate positions, rented out our house, put our stuff in storage and traveled the U.S. in an RV with our four-year-old son. For more than a year we traveled, capturing beautiful images from many of this country’s State & National Parks. With our son in school, are travels are a little closer to home these days, but there’s always an image to be captured, no matter where you are.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoy my images as much as I enjoyed capturing them.
