Volcanologist by day, photographer by every other moment. I have enjoyed photography for many years, but only in the last 3 or 4 years have I begun to get serious about it. I currently live and work on the island of Montserrat in the Caribbean where I am one of several scientists responsible for monitoring the active Soufriere Hills Volcano. My job as a volcanologist allows me to get up close and personal with one of nature's greatest spectacles - and a rare opportunity to capture the splendour of the Soufriere's eruptions in all its glory. That said, I do shoot more than just the volcano, with wildlife and landscapes my favourite subjects.
