Amir Meshkin was born in 1980, in Tehran, Iran shortly after his parents had moved back after living in the USA. His father served in the air force, until sneaking the family out a few months before the war was over.
He now resides in Nashville, and has spent the past few years photographing the world around him. Although an abstract artist, he uses high exposure and other subtle methods to take extraordinary shots of otherwise ordinary landscapes. He plans to continue his abstract expressionism as well as travel, to an ever growing list of locales. And he dreams of setting foot once again in his native Iran, so that he may recapture its beauty and share it with the world.
