DIY Dual Flash Bracket

Published October 10th, 2011

Made out of Aluminium and a 1/4 - 20 Thread bolt. A adapter nut to at mount it to the umbrella bracket. a washer, Lock washer and a simple 1/4-20 nut to hold it all together. A couple Stroboframe Cold Shoe mounts for the flashes them selves and a plain cold shoe to mount the Cactus V5 to. The Cactus V5 has a headphone splitter so I only have to use 1 trigger and 2 cables to trigger 2 Flash units. all DIY.

This is a basic Layout. Test fitting of all the pieces. This is after I cut the aluminum and Drilled the holes for the mounts. Still need to cut the 1/4-20 thread shaft down to size.

This is the Final bracket. I'm considering painting the bracket black to give it a little more "Professional" look instead of homemade. I put some rubber on the middle mount so when I tighten the middle cold shoe on it doesn't rotate. * I cut the rubber piece to clean up the look of it.
