Sono nato nel 1946 a Napoli, città che amo profondamente e che non ho mai lasciato se non per necessità o obblighi inderogabili o per brevi periodi vacanzieri. Per me la fotografia è la cattura di un pensiero, l’attimo visibile di una emozione, un modo per imprigionare per sempre una sensazione, e nello stesso tempo è una valida alternativa per divulgare conoscenza. Non mi ritengo assolutamente un fotografo professionista, quando scatto seguo un istinto, un pensiero o uno scopo ben preciso e in accordo con quest’ultimo motivo i miei scatti e seguendo il mio amore dichiarato per la città in cui vivo molto spesso Napoli è oggetto e soggetto delle mie foto. I was born in 1946 in Naples, a city I deeply love and I have never left, except for necessity or for short holidays. I think that photography is the visual transposition of people’s emotions, a way to catch a thought, to imprison a feeling for ever and at the same time it is a good alternative to spread knowledge. I am not a professional photographer and every time I take a picture I follow my instinct, a thought or a purpose. Inspired by my declared love for the city where I live, Naples is very often object and subject of my photos.
