I am a Namibian-born South African who lives in London, UK. Originally qualifying and working as a veterinary surgeon I left the profession full time in 2006 to pursue a career change in nature photography. I still work as a vet for a few months a year in a busy small animal practice but spend the rest of the year traveling for my outdoor photographic businesses, WildScapes Photography, as well as leading photographic tours for outdoorphoto safaris.
My passion for wildlife photography began when, at the age of 10, my father gave me a second-hand Ricoh camera. This, combined with an insatiable wanderlust, somewhat quirky desire to be in extreme environments and a strong affiliation with, and affection for, our natural world is what drives me to capture my images in some of its remotest places.
