Interested in examining the psychological mechanisms of perception; i.e. the notions of Self, Other, and the greater environment. I also seek to explore the socio-cultural predispositions that construct sensibility, ideology, and aesthetics. Furthermore, this is a personal examination of my own subjective experience through observation and documentation of 'direct present-momentness'. I seek to create visual poetry—simultaneously exhilarating, yet discursive in nature—, while examining the dynamic parameters and teleological implications of mimetic 'representation'. Writing, traveling, art, theory, music, meditation... but above all else, photography is what captivates me the most... Born and bred in the Bay Area, California. Now I live in Edinburgh, Scotland. I specialize in reportage; photojournalism, travel, documentary, event, performance, nightlife, you name it. But ultimately, I don't believe any art form should be categorically contained.
