Peter purchased his first camera at the age of 12 and was instantly hooked. Shortly thereafter he also purchased Freeman Patterson's book, "The Art of Seeing". This book had a tremendous influence on how Peter's photographic journey would unfold - always striving to see the world in ways that most people miss.

Peter lives on Manitoulin Island (Ontario, Canada) with his wife and the comings and goings of six adult children. The vast majority of his photos have been captured on this beautiful island. In his other life (the non-photographer) he teaches high school Science and in his spare time is part of a local theatre group (hence the avatar).
