My passion is the outdoors. For just a handfull of days each year I get to leave my day job behind and feed that passion. Photography is neither my profession nor my primary pastime. For me, photography is a means to an end. By bringing home photographs I can squeeze that little bit more out of each of my trips. The images I take are a record of my outdoor experiences. More often than not they are opportunistic captures taken as I move through a landscape, summers on foot or in a canoe or in the winter, on skis or snowshoes. What I strive to achieve in my images is, rather than technical excellence, emotional accuracy. The images I share here, whether landscapes or action shots, are those that, to my eye, most faithfully reawaken the emotions I feel when I'm in the great outdoors.
