My mother hesitantly bought me a SLR when I was 14 years old. I remember it was a Minolta 7000. The first week, I shot 10 rolls of film and quickly realized that this was going to be expensive. My Great Uncle was a professional photographer, and he took me under his wing to teach all about the dark room. We didn't spend much time on the camera itself, but a whole lot of time in the dark room. Here it is 26 years later and I am still trying to figure out the whole photography thing. I love every minute of it, especially seeing other peoples work.
