The Moors and Christians in Elda, is an important festival of the town of Elda (Alicante), Spain. Are held between the last week of May and first week of June for 5 days on an annual basis. Declared of Tourist Interest, one commemorating the feast of San Anton, the patron of the holidays.

The Moors and Christians, very popular in the Spanish Levant, commemorate the reconquest of the lands of the region by the Christians, to their former occupants, the Moors.

Festivals in Elda, as in other parts of the environment, have been held informally and popular for centuries. However, this festival is organized with official acts and troupes established since 1944. Initially the celebrations took place in January, celebrated in honor of San Anton. However, two years later, and take place the day of the pattern in winter, the holidays were moved to the spring. Since then have been held annually, at a time that is allocated each year, ranging from the last weekend of May and the first of June.

Her celebration takes place the second week of September, and consist of the plant and subsequent burning of artistic monuments of wood and cardboard. The monuments usually consist of a high central wooden structure, and are focused on a theme. They are full of ninots, small cardboard dolls and polyurethane, which refer to places, events and people in the news, to which accompany them posters with a satirical criticism in mood and tone of protest.
