My interest in photography started in 1979 with an Olympus Trip. Converted to SLR in 1982 with an Olympus OM10 followed in 1985 by an Olympus OM4 which was a great camera - spot metering and all that. The electronics eventually failed and photography stopped until the digital age arrived - Canon IXUS and Pentax K110 DSLR. I dropped and broke the Pentax early in 2012 and since then I have relied upon the iPhone !! which had been a challenge, but I enjoy trying to get the best out of it, even if the overall image quality is somewhat lacking. Must get back to a "proper" camera soon though - and finally (Feb 2013), a Canon SX50 has been deployed.
