Elia Locardi is an American born artist, professional photographer, writer, and educator who spent his childhood exploring the electric blue waters and color-filled reefs of the Florida Keys. A true artist at heart, his upbringing in this tropical paradise began his lifelong appreciation for the beauty of the natural world and gave rise to his heightened sense of color.
In 2009, following a decade long career as an educator and artist in the Post Production & Motion Design industry, he picked up a camera and immediately fell in love with the freedom and creative process of photography. Travel and photography rapidly became his passion and by the end of 2011, with a determined blend of insomnia and jet lag, he had already flown over 300,000 miles and visited 20 countries as a professional Travel Photographer. In March of 2012, Elia and his wife, Naomi, relinquished nearly all of their possessions, transformed their lives and became completely location independent. To date, he has flown more than 1 million miles and visited over 30 countries.
