After few years I quite discontinued this activity (I was a teenager with other stuff in my mind ;)) up to the advent of digital cameras, and was love at first sight.
For my degree in Aerospace Engineering (yes I’m an Engineer …) my parents gave me an Epson PhotoPC 3000Z, a 3 Mpx digital camera (very expensive at that time!!): I started learning photography theory using this gear at its maximum potential, and after few year of fun, I found my way in my first DSLR: the great Canon EOS 350D (you will see here some pictures taken with this camera!!).
Now my gears consist of a Canon EOS 5D Mk II with the following lenses and accessories:
Canon 24-105 F4 L IS
Sigma 120-400 F4.5-5.6 DG OS APO HSM
Manfrotto tripod 190XProB + head 804RC2
Hoya Cir-Polaring Filter
Set of GND0.3-0.6-0.9 and ND0.9 Filters Hitech with Lee Holder system
I never end to study the theory, new shooting techniques or new post-processing tip (I use Lightroom and Photoshop on Windows platform). My post processing style is mainly based on enhancing colors, contrast, dodging and burning. I like HDR or blending techniques to expand dynamic range. All my shoots try to represent as much as possible the feelings, the lights and the colors that I saw in the original scene.
Now I’m still an enthusiastic travel photographer: unfortunately I’ll never be a professional, but I’m doing my best to reach some good results.
I hope you like my works!
