Nature Photography has always been part of my life. Since I can remember -about 45 years ago-I have been clicking away at all things natural. I started taking my hobby seriously about 10 Years ago and never looked back. One day when I’m grown up I want to be a Professional Nature Photographer! When I'm not shooting the beauty of nature I try to manage an egg farm near Pretoria in South Africa with my wife Gerda and our two sons Fanie & Jaco. "Fanus travels the world to "places where cellphones don't work". His work has been recognized by organizations like the BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year and Fujifilm-Getaway Wildlife Awards. He has acted as a judge for the Fujifilm-Getaway Awards and Nikon’s Africa Photographic Awards and his work has been published in various magazines like Weg, Go!, Getaway and high profile glossies like Africa Birds & Birding"
