Maybe I am regarding photography a bit affected by my family. My grandpa worked in optical industry for Zeiss. My father preferred to do something completely opposite to him: he worked for the competitor Leica. So it happend that during my childhood some Leica stuff always was laying around and I could use it. With 14 I got my first SLR, a Zeiss Icon with 50mm and 105mm lens (I still have it). But later I decided also to be completely opposit then my forefathers: I bought my first Canon SLR. Until today I still stick with Canon.
