A native of Southwest Virginia Fred now calls Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico his home. Fred took a ten year hiatus from photography before missing the outdoors caused him to enter the digital realm. With the abundance of bird life in Puerto Rico, Fred realized that his efforts would be in the avian direction, which is a new field for him and is quite different from the mammals he chased in the past. As time is available Fred is honing his skills in an effort to become better with each outing.

Fred is co-owner and serves as President of a successful industrial automation/maintenance service corporation.
