George L Smyth began to seriously study photography upon his return from an extended trip to Wales in 1990. After experimenting to find his personal style, he decided to concentrate on pinhole, infrared and alternative process photography. These images are scans of Bromoil prints. They are created traditionally in the darkroom, after which the silver is removed and replaced with lithographic ink by striking with a stiff ink-charged brush.
