I’m aged late 50’, with a wife and 3 (adult) children. I live and work in the North East of England, UK. My main interests are photography, music, walking, cycling, travelling and reading. I’ve been interested in photography since my early 20’s and until recently I had my own darkroom at home where I produced monochrome photographs and did some hand coloured tinting using photo dyes. Since December 2006 I switched to digital and whilst I always enjoyed producing work in the darkroom I’ve not been back in the darkroom since then- as digital is much more convenient. I’ve now upgraded to a Canon 7D. My photographic interests are wide and varied and I’m an active member of Hartlepool Photographic and Digital Group. The photographic equipment that Gary now uses are: Canon 7D slr, Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 lens, Canon 17-40 mm L lens, Canon 55-250EFS IS lens, Benbow trekker tripod and various other filters etc.
I enjoy 500px and always welcome comments and constructive criticism of my photos. I view and comment upon as many photos as I can and I usually visit the site of anyone who has commented on my work but would prefer that when people comment on my photos they do not request me to visit their site
