Gene Myers is a free lance photographer and writer living in Hampton, VA. He is a retired Air Force officer, pilot and consultant with DOD and DHS. Over the years, Gene has lived in and photographed the intermountain West and the deep South of the USA and northern Europe. His most recent subjects have focused on documenting his home region, the coastal region of Virginia and North Carolina. "I try to avoid becoming what I call a 'character photographer,' stuck in one photographic subject area and style and am always seeking new subjects. Variety keeps me from getting stale...I hope."
