Scrabo, in Newtownards, Northern Ireland, is an excellent location for photography. In addition to the beautiful fairy-tale-like Tower on Scrabo Hill, the views over Strangford Lough are magnificent on a clear day. In fact, it's possible to see Scotland from the top of the tower on a good day. Next to Scrabo Tower is a small forest, which again provides some spectacular views over farmland.
I am not out at Scrabo often, but yesterday evening after a heavy downpour I caught some interesting skies, and a faint rainbow. Unfortunately my best shot of the tower with a rainbow in the background was spoilt by a raindrop on the lens (in a key position too), despite me trying to be careful, but at least one of them turned out OK.
