Photography was always interested me, even as a child. The way light affected colour, texture and created a different mood depending on the time of day. Born in the Eastern Goldfields back in the late 60's, amidst the colours of red, yellow and ochre from the land to brilliant blues, purples, oranges, pink and white of the wild flowers that grew out towards Kookynie and beyond. Who could not be awed by that mining landscape of sulphur, salt lakes & dust? It wasn't until a trip to the Northern Territory in 1997 that the hobby became something more. Then the birth of my two children in 2005 and 2006 reignited the passion for capturing moments in life's journey. I have a love for people's faces, their character, strength, vulnerability & joy that is expressed by their features & life lines. One of the reasons I am drawn to portraiture. Decided to study the art of photography in 2009, through Australian College QED based in NSW. The end goal, achieving my diploma & to become a photographer specializing in portraits and landscapes.
