I'm a "serious" amateur photographer, which means I'm at the point where I'm starting to spend some serious coin on cameras, lenses and associated equipment ! My main interests are seascapes, macro (mostly flowers and plants) and transport (mostly cars and aircraft). I have been "serious" about my photography for about 3 years after first buying my D80. I've done a couple of photography courses and am always trying to learn more about the art. :) I enjoy the artistic freedom of photography and the fact that there really aren't any rules that you absolutely have to follow every time you take a photo. While I feel that my work is slowly improving to a standard where I'm actually brave enough to upload to a site like 500px, I'm in awe of the quality of work on this site and it only makes me want to improve and continue to strive for better quality images.
