Heidi Helen is not just a name but a dream. A dream where all of her creativity is combined in one place as an aspiring: artist, photographer, designer and so much more.
It began with a love for art right from a young age; starting with drawing and growing to include photography and design as the years went by. Heidi Helen was born and raised in South Australia and also spent some years living abroad in Zambia, Africa.
In January 2004, Heidi Helen was selected as 1 of 2 South Australians for the National Summer Art Scholarship with the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra, ACT. This experience included extensive artistic workshops; a behind the scenes tour of the national gallery; visits to artist residences and studios; as well as an exhibition Summer Scholarship 2004. This experience was a real eye opener; leading her to believe that a future in the arts was indeed possible!
Heidi received an A for Visual Art Studies in 12 year and her artwork Ode to Trish - a collection of screenprints inspired by the pop-art movement was also selected for the SSABSA Art Show 2005, at Light Square Galleries, Adelaide. It later travelled to Port Augusta for another exhibition and was chosen for display in SSABSA offices for 1 year.
Her early successes in the arts led her to pursue it further at university; obtaining a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Photography) from UniSA in 2009.
In 2011 Heidi commenced studies in IT (Websites) at TAFE SA.
For her birthday this year Heidi received her first digital SLR and is currently having fun getting to know and explore her new camera.
