I am an amateur photographer from Yorkshire, England. I love photographing animals of all types but especially birds. I'm always on the lookout for places to go and see/photograph wildlife. I'm also trying to expand my photographic knowledge and skills though too so there will hopefully be a variety of shots her on 500px. Hope you enjoy viewing my images.

Photography Trip to Bempton Cliffs, Scarborough

This is my story of a day spent photographing sea birds off Bempton Cliffs near Scarborough. It was a Paul Miguel photography workshop that had been bought for me for my birthday by my in-laws (Jan, Mike, Phil, Claire, Mark and Lewis).

My aim was to get a close-up photo of a Puffin but it didn't quite work out that way. Although I did see a couple of Puffins (including one close-up that had somehow made its way to the RSPB site car park!) it was the Gannets that stole the show and kept us snapping away until well after 6pm!

All these photos were taken with the camera in fully manual mode and thanks to the expert guidance from Paul Miguel, they've come out too!
