I've been going to the Tetons since September 1989 where I fell in love with the Tetons and have returned every year since then.
I am an author and a photo shoot adventure and/or tour host in Jackson Hole, Wyoming (USA) two to three times a year. At this time, I am the only person as a photo tour host in Jackson Hole to also take my groups out on two nights for a night sky / Milky Way workshop. During this workshop, I take everyone through the steps to set up their camera settings for the best possible capture of the night sky and Milky Way while light painting historic objects throughout the valley north of Jackson, WY.
I am a Getty Images contributor and in July of 2013, five of my images were used for the Centennial Celebration of the historic Moulton Barns in Jackson Hole.
I started capturing the Tetons in digital form in 2003 and have since published an ebook called "Jackson Hole, WY - A Photographer's Shooting Guide" which is available from Smashwords.com. Just enter "Jerry Patterson" in the search box at the top right of the window and click search to find it. It may also be found on Amazon.com, Barnes-Noble and iTunes.
My second ebook with the same name is projected to be available by the end of April 2014 and it will have 50+ sites not covered in my first ebook.
Upon my subsequent visits to Jackson Hole, WY, the Tetons and surrounding areas, I've traveled from northern Yellowstone National Park to the Wind River Range 75 miles southeast of Jackson, WY to photograph Square Top Mountain reflecting in the western most Green River Lake in Bridger National Forest.
In visiting this area from the middle of the bitter cold winter to the spring wildflower season in late June and early July to fall in late September, the most gorgeous time of the year there has got to be the fall even though the wildflower season is a close second.
2014 Jackson Hole, WY Night Sky / Milky Way Workshops
On the mights of May 15-18, I will be leading night sky / Milky Way workshops in Jackson Hole. I'll take my group to numerous sites to capture the night sky at some of the best locations there.
In June of 2014 I'll have two back-to-back Teton spring wildflower photo shoot/tours with the Milky Way workshop: June 13-15 and June 20-22. My third one will be during the height of the fall colors from October 3-5.
Please contact me if you're interesting in joining me for any one of the 3 Teton photo adventures. I have a multi-page pdf info document with all the information you'll need when you visit Jackson Hole.
Thanks for stopping by.
