I’m a freelance photographer based in Austin, TX. I began taking pictures as a way to generate original content for my web and design work. However, it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the wonderful challenges of trying capture the atmosphere, movement and most importantly the emotion of a moment in each photograph. I’ve found the process so intoxicating that the pursuit of beautiful images has become a major component of my life. While I shoot a wide variety of subjects and styles, I particularly enjoy shooting events, street portraits and conceptual fashion. Outside of working with models, I like to approach my photography from a journalistic standpoint: I prefer candid moments over staged shots. Also, my photographs often showcase the spirit of Austin’s motto, “Keep Austin weird,” by focusing on the colorful, wild, slightly out of the norm aspects of life in the place I call home. Ultimately, I hope my work reminds people of the beauty in the everyday.
