Mark Jansen

Mark Jansen

Mark Jansen’s fine art photography reflects some of the most astounding aspects of nature's details. “My work reflects the intricate details of nature that people never seem to notice at first glance.”  Mark’s interest in photography and love for landscapes constantly draws him into some amazing places. He researches his subjects extensively, sometimes making many trips to selected areas waiting for the perfect light, an interesting approach to the subject, and just the right moment.  His goal of "freezing time for others to enjoy" is what drives him to create his visions. His images come printed on canvas, large wall mural format or fine art photographic papers in color, with a selected catalog of Black and White images. This is a limited series of “Vintage style” Black and White prints of  Sequoia and Yosemite. His works also cover mechanical and stylized studies of Vintage World War 2 aviation  imagery and Classic racing automotive.   In addition to this he also has an amazing display of giant vintage World War 2 aviation murals permanently at the Waypoint Café, located at the Camarillo airport, California.   Many of the images in his portfolio are studies of the West Coast and the South West areas of the United States. Photographs from the rushing streams of the Big Sur Redwoods to the deep canyons of the South West, and on up to the Sierra Nevada Mountains are included in the collection.  He also offers a collection of images from Venice Italy and other European locations on request.   Many of his works are in private and corporate collections such as State Farm Insurance and Sysco Food Services Corporate offices in California. Mark also offers photographic workshops through his parent company Jansen Photo Expeditions. These photographic intensive field guided workshops offer beginning to advance photographers the tools they need to capture our amazing natural world in locations. His workshops locations and subject matter range from Hot air balloon festivals in Santa Paula to wildlife and landscapes of the western and Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains and deserts and coastal regions of California. Also included are exotic location as well, such as Iceland, Tanzania Africa coming in 2014.  "This is gorgeous work!", says Christopher Robinson, editor of Outdoor Photographer Magazine.  Mark is also a photography educator with the "Manfrotto School of Excellence" online educational network.  BORN  1959, Los Angeles, California, USA EDUCATION 1978, Moorpark College, Photography, Commercial Design Moorpark, California EXHIBITIONS: Artist Union Gallery Digital Diversity Ventura, CA Buena Ventura Gallery Ventura, CA Sea Breeze Gallery Ventura, CA Franky’s Restaurant Ventura, CA Melt Down Restaurant Camarillo, CA Ventura Art Walk Ventura, CA Coastal Roasting Ventura, CA Weaver Wines Ventura, CA New West Symphony Design House Simi Valley, CA Cantara Winery Camarillo, Ca Custom Crush Wines Camarillo, ca Proverbs Gallery Camarillo, Ca Herzog Gallery Oxnard, Ca VENCO Gallery Camarillo, Ca JURIED ART SHOWS: Malibu Arts Festival Malibu, CA Channel Islands Art Festival Oxnard, CA Warner Center Art Show Woodland Hills, CA Camarillo Art and Jazz Festival Camarillo, CA Thousand Oaks Art Festival Thousand Oaks, CA Palm Springs Art Show Palm Springs, CA Art Center Open Competition Carpentaria, CA Buenaventura Gallery "23rd Annual Open Competition" Jan. 20 - Jan. 31, 2010       Ventura, Ca Nov. 14, 2010 - jan 4, 2011 Art Center Sunrise / Sunset Competition Juried by Tom henderson Carpinteria, California Nov 4th 2013 The Photon Gallery Exhibit "Yosemite In Winter" Ventura, California You can view Mark’s work here.
