[sic] adv: thus; so; retained in its original form.
I try to minimize my post-production. My feeling is that if I wouldn't/couldn't do it in a darkroom, I should not do it on a computer. What I saw, is what you get with little exception.
I'm old school. I shot film, grew up in darkrooms, and love natural light. I trust old light meters and experience over a technology determined zone system. My favorite memories growing up are of a red lit room, the smell of Dektol and stop bath in the air, and watching an image appear on what had just been a blank piece of Ilford double matte paper. I taught 35mm black & white photography for 2 years at the Center for Participant Education at Florida State University. Last year was my first foray into the DSLR world, and it's fine. I feel that it's far too forgiving, but being able to preview your shots is awesome!
