"To speak technically photography is the art of writing with light. But if I want to think about it more philosophically, I can say that photography is the art of writing with time. When you capture an image you capture not only a piece of space, you also capture a piece of time. So you have this piece of specific time in your square or rectangle. In that sense I find that photography has more to do with time than with light."

Currently based in the North West of England Jo is married and mother to a very active toddler. Jo also works as a senior nurse clinician and is currently undertaking an Msc. Any spare time remaining is devoted to a growing passion for photography. Jo has always had a very creative streak and now likes to channel that through this medium. Jo enjoys all aspects of photography though her developing niche lies with macro and abstract.
2011 saw Jo's confidence grow as she joined WPG (Wildlife Photographers Group) on FB run by Richard Peters and from there went on to develop portfolios on 500px. Through these forums she has met some inspirational photographers and friends (they know who they are) and thanks all those who have supported her through my journey so far.
