My NYC - The birds have it

Published April 14th, 2012

Hands down the birds were the most interesting, active, and available today for pictures and appreciation. Finally got some good shots of a red headed woodpecker, one that even stayed still on a branch for a bit. Usually they are always on the move.

Also had the pleasure of admiring a robin cleaning every feather while on a metal cover in the dirt in the park. Not a care or concern about other critters nearby or members of the human race.

There was one turtle sunning on a stone in the Community Garden, but she/he did not care to be disturbed.

The drummers were out in the Park, jammin' away. And there were some lovely leaves in shadow.

Who could be bored with all of this going on?

Where is my next insect buffet?

Number 105 for #Project365 is of a red headed woodpecker resting on a branch.

She/he has just finished drilling away with that beak at the underside of that same branch!
