Kat Preston is a freelancing artist working within the worlds of illustration, graphic design and photography. Born and bred in London, then being dragged out to the Kentish countryside, she finds inspiration in both urban and natural landscapes. Keeping an open mind on the world allows her to tackle and interpret life in her own particular and peculiar way. Brief traveling experience has left her with a touch of the wanderlust, the urge to explore the world further, and hopefully a good reason to stay a few years in New York. Music and the straight edge lifestyle are big influences on her way of thinking, going about everyday life and, at times, artistic approach. Using a mixture of mediums helps her best understand the things around her and inspire new ideas and projects.
Other than art she has a strong interest in wildlife, the pursuit of owning a small herd of Corgis and enjoys a spot of bird watching (in a very casual and unofficial capacity) Among her prized possessions are her vinyl records and array of marker pens.
