Lena Leirich (born Elena Ostroumova) is a Mosсow based photographer and journalist. She was born in 1983 in then USSR. Lena works as a news editor for RT TV news channel covering foreign affairs, politics and human interest stories. She has been working as a freelance photographer for over 10 years. She started as an equestrian sports photographer, covering World Cup Finals and World Equestrian Games among other events. However, her greatest passion was always portraiture. "I believe there are no rules and borders in photography. I explore colors, music and feel of still photography. Sometimes the images are born long before I release the shutter, they form in my head urging me to take the camera and shoot. My best lens in my eye, my best Photoshop is my imagination, my photography is my freedom.
