Born in Naples in 1974, after some years spent in Milan for my work, now I live in the amazing and difficult Rome. My passion for the photography, already existing in my teen age, blew up in Milan when my girlfriend gave me, as my birthday present, my first digital photo camera. So I started and I haven't stopped anymore.
Focused on people and the street dynamics, I'm still looking for my direction in the photography world. I've always thought the B&W is perfect for people, leading the eye to the true part of the scene. So, these first months on 500px have engaged me in a work of selection and discover of the best way to take picture about people. Of course, I talking about people in the street and other public spaces...I don't like to take shots of known persons as friends and relatives in private places...as any street photographer, I feel attracted from who I don't know, searching for candid expressions and free interactions without the awareness of my lens ready to shoot.
However, I cannot say to be insensitive to the colors, especially about landscapes and travel photography! The color is a necessary component of my vision when I travel and see new places. And I use (not so proudly, actually...) basically one lens, my first Nikkor 18-200mm 3.5-5.6...I know, it's not the best choice in terms of quality, sharpness, light, et cetera...but I've not so much time and I want to feel ready for every situation, trying for remedies in my postproduction activity (I spend several nights on my iMac, looking for the perfect tone...but I think it's now a normal step of digital photo workflow).
I'd like to find a few words to describe my adventure in 500px...I'm here to grow up and learn from the tens and hundreds of photographers, whose pictures I think are often stunning.
I hope you could enjoy my photos!
