Marcello Di Francesco is a passionate underwater photographer, from La Spezia (Italy), a small town near the Ligurian Sea. His whole life has been tied to the sea and now he has developed an unbreakable bond with it. During a trip to the Maldives in 2003, he found a passion for the underwater world and it was love at first sight. In recent years he has done more than 1000 dives around the World’s most beautiful seas: Indonesia, Micronesia, Maldives, Philippines, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Tanzania and Madagascar are just a few of the places he visited and photographed. In 2008, he became a PADI instructor, and it was in 2009 that he started to get closer to the world of underwater photography. Recently, He started to dedicate himself to the world of photography competitions and magazine publications and the results is giving him great satisfaction. He hope in future to improve his equipment and his skills and be able to continue to travel and take pictures of the underwater world, in order that those less fortunate than him can see the beauty of our “blue world” through his pictures !
