Photography has always been a passion of mine ever since I picked up my first camera which was happened to be an old Minolta X-700. Nowadays, much like everyone else, I have switched to a more reliable and convenient way of shooting using a Canon EOS 7D. Being behind the camera has always given me the freedom that I enjoy very much. It's a way of expressing myself through image and light. I love the whole process of searching, composing and capturing that perfect shot. Living in Central Colorado offers me the opportunity to drive 50 - 100 miles in pretty much any direction in search of that perfect shot of the Milky Way. On the weekends, and given the time as well as clear skies, I usually drive far away from the city lights and spend the wee hours of the morning shooting the stars which means I am pretty much asleep most of the day before any post production work begins which can be a little bit of a drawback, but it's cool. Most of my summer was spent driving to far away places in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. I find the Rockies to be a very peaceful and spooky place at night, but I have learned to embrace the darkness....especially with a gun and a spotlight at my side. LOL!!! Anyway, whenever I am out there I feel totally relaxed gazing up at the heavens.
