Photographer and multimedia web content developer.
I work for the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, a non-profit support partner of the National Park Service. Every day I have to pinch myself -- doing work I love in one of the most beautiful cities in the world for an organization who's mission I fully support.
Photography is my ultimate passion, and lately I've been dabbling a bit in timelapse and video. My academic background is in anthropology and journalism, and I became truly inspired to work in the field of visual communications when I first saw the film Baraka as a teenager. Since then, my goal has been to share my experiences in a way that invokes an emotional connection with the natural world. There is an overwhelming extent of beauty on this planet, and I can only hope to scratch the surface of it's splendor.
I'm constantly learning and working to refine my craft, and I've always been interested in finding a real-world application for my work -- one that reaches beyond simply making pretty pictures. I'd love to make connections, gain insights, and participate in collaborations in the effort to help others learn to appreciate the beauty and fragility of our amazing planet.
I'm a live music enthusiast (mostly jam bands), lover of all things mountains, and an empathic introvert with terrible vision (thank god for auto-focus).
