I live in Southsea, UK.
Commonly referred to as “street photography”, I try to capture people in their candid state on the streets, mainly in Portsmouth. One day I hope a significant moment however small will coincide with the microsecond finger press of my shutter. Until then I’ll keep on shooting, keep on trying and keep on hoping. The inherent unpredictability of looking for the decisive moment on the streets makes it all the more enticing and exciting.
I have explored a few types of photography over the past few years before dropping the bulky SLR and picking up the more compact fixed lens Fuji X100 which is perfect for the street. I also on occasion use a vintage (late 1960s) Yashica Minister III rangefinder film camera.
