10 From Michael Toye, Captured in 2011

Published January 6th, 2012

Last year was a tremendous year for photography in the hands of the masses.

It was obviously big business before but, in the last few years and last year specifically, it's exploded in activity, quality and popularity. The enormously excellent 500px and Instagram are particular stand out services for me personally. Snapseed and Instagram are my recommended top mobile applications for editing and publishing on the move.

In no particular order are 10 images I am quite fond of from last year. It is no coincidence that most are from Namibia and wide, specifically 17mm, as a) I travelled to Namibia and b) got myself a 17mm TS-E shift lens - 2 excellent decisions i think!

Enjoy
