Hmm, let's see. :-) I'm a man born in Gorinchem, the Netherlands in 1964 and I spent most of my life there as well. In February 2012 I emigrated to Sweden. First of all for my girlfriend (who has been living and working in Sweden for over 7 years) and ofcourse for the peace and quiet, and the space, which is still to be found in Sweden. While the Netherlands gets more and more overcrowded. I bought my first camera when I was 16 years old, a Mamya ZE. It isn’t true that I have been photographing for 30 years. There has been a couple of big gaps, due to different circumstances. The photographs from that time were not what I expected, but one learns trying. And now I still make photographs that are different in my mind. The difference is that I now do get an occasional photograph that is ‘on the mark’. ;-) Of course there's allways a difference in personal taste. Because of a caraccident in 1990 I can walk little distances with 2 below the knee prostetics and use a wheelchair when needed. This makes for some photographic limitations, because some places or views are harder to reach or sometimes inaccessible. But with some adaptions and inventivity this is not that big of a problem for me. If you wanna know more you can always send me an email but I think most about me is said in the above.
