‘I am a camera with its shutter open, quite passive, recording, not thinking’
- Christopher Isherwood
Rebecca, more commonly known as Becky, picked up a camera one day and has not really stopped since!
Always been a creative person, Becky began with the pencil, the pen and the paintbrush. Studies getting in the way of output, art was put on a back-burner, only emerging on a regulated, forced basis to comply with the soul-crushing GCSE Art projects.
With assessed creativity out of the way, Becky’s path took more of a photographic turn as friends’ shots inspired to create her own. Being on a teen’s budget, she’s had to stick to Digital, point and shoot cameras but with the recent passing of 18th Birthday, and a new camera in tow, her sights are set on much brighter horizons!
These pages are the results of the work she has done so far, complete with (hopefully) entertaining ramblings as a side-order.
Becky was shortlisted for the NME Music Photography of the Year Awards, Under 18s section
