My name is Grant, I am a self-taught photographer and website designer from Bairnsdale, Victoria in Australia. For many years I photographed the world around me using a simple point-and-shoot camera but found these photographs could not capture the true essence of the breathtaking visions I saw. In 2010 I purchased my first DSLR camera, a Canon 450D, and began taking the art of photography very seriously. In December 2012 I upgraded my camera to a Canon 6D and bought my first dedicated macro lens. I love macro and nature photography, though I have been trying more creative and conceptual shots recently. Music is a huge influence for my photography, especially my nature shots. The music which influences me the most are from bands like Agalloch, Wolves in the Throne Room, Drudkh, October Falls, Summoning, Altar of Plagues, Deathspell Omega, etc.
