I have been interested in photography for quite some time but I am still learning and feel I have a long way to go yet.
What you see here is a collection of some of my favourite pictures (very) loosely organised into themes. Moving forward I hope to bring out a stronger cohesive sense (and at least make my mind up whether I want to shoot in colour or black and white) whilst working on more of a project basis. I feel I have already begun this process.
I like strong perspective, bold colours, the boring made interesting, black and white portraits, humour, juxtaposition, layering and anything else that catches my eye.
Inspiration and Study: Gary Winogrand, Joel Meyerowitz, Saul Leiter, Bruce Davidson, Martin Parr, Alex Webb, William Egglestone, Steve McCurry, Nick Turpin, Jonas Bendiksen, David Solomons, Jesse Marlow, Nils Jorgensen, Matt Stuart, In-Public, the Burn My Eye Collective and many contemporary photographers on Flickr.
I mainly take pictures for myself, if others enjoy or appreciate them I see this as a bonus.
Thanks for looking.
