Last weekend I had the pleasure to do a family portrait for friends from my church. They are a lovely family who were so happy to get updated pictures of their kids. With 4 kids and the two parents the photo combinations were endless.
I have another family portrait to do next week and am looking forward to spending time with this family too!

This summer I had the pleasure to photograph my first wedding. It was quite an amazing marathon.. first months of research and prep and then finally the day arrived.
This was the full meal deal as it were. Together with my wife we photographed the bride and bridesmaids getting ready, the wedding, family shots in the park, wedding party shots in the park, wedding party shots agains a graffitti wall (really fun) and finally the reception.
Everything went smoothly except part way through I noticed a problem with my SD card. No one told me to check and make sure a well known name brand card would not be compatible with my D300s.
At the end of the day I learned two valuable lessons: check the SD card against the website list of compatible cards and always divide your shoot against multiple cards.
oh ... and I lost only 1 picture out of 1,100 ... phew
