Phrasikleia was born in a deep crevasse of the Belvedere glacier and raised by chamois who hired marmots as babysitters. She soon had the misfortune of being plucked off of an escarpment by a hawk who was attracted to the shiny cables of a refurbished via ferrata that she used to run her daily errands. After being dropped fortuitously into the lap of a sleeping lynx, she quickly became ensconced in the culture of her new caretakers and endeared herself to the elders of the lynx community. When the time came to prove her worth by capturing the king of the chamois, she recognized her surrogate father and proposed a truce between the species. Neither side would agree, however, so she embarked on a journey to traverse every corner of the Alps in search of marmots who could advocate on her behalf and further this great cause.
To this day, Phrasikleia continues her quest and spends her spare time pondering broken old rocks and judging contests for coach-class seat reclining maneuvers.
