A weekend workshop with Lukasz Warzecha

Published October 15th, 2011

The other weekend I had the opportunity to go on a workshop organised by one of the world's best adventure sport photographer Lukasz Warzecha. The photography workshop was in Plas y Brenin Wales a truely unbelievable location surrounded by beautiful mountains and forests. A perfect place to be.

I arrived late Friday evening just in time for some very tasty pizza and to meet Lukasz and the other photographers. Lukasz gave a very interesting and insightful talk about life as a professional photographer. Throughout the talk we were able to ask questions and Lukasz was very open with his answers.

It was then off to bed as we had our first shoot before dawn the next day.

We woke up and were out before the sun had risen. We were going to be working with a fell runner by the name of Emma. We were so lucky with the weather. By the time we had made it to our location the sky was turning a beautiful orange. Lukasz discuss composition and camera settings before allowing us to start shooting. The first images were taken with natural light and I feel that some of my shots were a little underexposed (I need to pay closer attention to the histogram and expose more to the right).
