So I have been really busy recently with photography. I am currently creating a book about my adventures in Thailand. It is mainly a personal thing to remind me of the fantastic time I had there with Kim and a place to put my favourite photos. You can see some of my Thailand images on my flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/enticknap/sets/72157627518716206/ I also shot the wedding of a very close friend up in Scotland last weekend and desperately need to get down to editing the images for them (about 5 8gb cards).
Anyway, at the end of last month I travelled up to the London for the second round of the Highsports bouldering championship, which was being held at West1 climbing centre. Once again I was competing in the morning in the fun comp and taking photos after I had finished for the fun and open comp. West one is an awesome centre for bouldering as they have two rooms, a training room and dedicated bouldering room with arches, barrels and over hangs.
One of the benefits of it being in an inclosed room was the fact that I could use a bit of bounce flash to lighten the room. I set my camera to manual and took a few test shots checking the histogram and I was set. I know I said in my previous post that I was going to go for a more gritty look but I decided against it for this round as the colours came out fine. Below are a few favourites from the comp:
