Robbie started capturing images at the tender age of 6 when he received his first instamatic camera. After many years of only using film in both the small and medium format he crossed the divide and starting exploring the digital era. Whilst digital has not quite transcended the qualities of film, he is satisfied with the tonal qualities and the detail that can be captured using full frame sensors. Robbie's true passion lies with the avian genre due to the challenge that the subjects offer but he is really an all round photographer with the philosophy of "Capture the Light and share it with the World". Robbie is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, close to the African bush where he retreats to as often as possible.
