RUSTY MUYUELA is a Filipino who migrated in the U.S. in 2003. He is a graduate of an architecture degree and has always been interested in visual arts. In 2008, he delved in photography believing that the lenses will capture his perception of life and beauty. Rusty's subjects are usually landscape, cityscape, and objects that are usually unnoticed yet has impact on the senses. One of Rusty's outstanding works on Portland's Japanese Garden was featured in Schmap Guide, a travel guide web application which is popular in iPhone and Android. He also maintains a flicker account which accentuates his taste and skills in photography.
Rusty's inclination for dramatic landscapes and abstract are best demonstrated in his compositions. Influenced by his interest and education, his works reflects the fusion of architecture and philosophy. The merging of technology and aesthetics. The marriage of minimalism and romanticism.
